Election as Associate member of The United Society of Artists

I am very excited to have just been elected as an Associate Member of The United Society of Artists
The UA is an independent, non-profit making society. Founded in 1921,
it was originally called the New Society of Artists. It was established
as an art organisation aimed at giving artists living outside London the
opportunity to exhibit in central London.
In the 1930s the society changed its name to the United Society of
Artists. From 1956, the UA held its annual exhibitions at the FBA
Galleries in Great Suffolk Street, Pall Mall, London and from 1972 at
the Mall Galleries in Carlton Terrace SW1. In 1988, the UA became
independent from the FBA. Past Members include David Shepherd, Edna
Biznan and Gordon Gunn. Today, the UA showcases the work of artists
from all over the UK, including London. The society represents some of the
best contemporary artists working in different forms of art such as
painting, sculpture, fabric-work, ceramics, printing and drawing.
This is a wonderful opportunity to be given. I am really looking forward to exhibiting in new places and with such impressive artists producing such high calibre work
.
